FabLife Transfer boards are lightweight and made from deluxe, heavy-duty, sealed wood, with two sizes available to support users up to 350 lbs. (159 kgs) and 450 lbs. (204 kgs). These boards are used to help people with physical disabilities or loss of leg function move safely between seated surfaces. The flat, rigid board acts as a bridge, allowing users to sit and slide from a wheelchair to a bed, sofa, bath, car seat or commode at their own pace.

Transfer boards, also known as sliding boards, are commonly used to assist patients who are amputees, paraplegic, elderly, disabled, or post-surgery. They are also ideal for people with conditions such as lower-body paralysis, osteoporosis, arthritis and back injuries. These boards require less upper-body strength compared to other transfer systems, enabling individuals to use them independently as everyday mobility aids. The boards are treated with a permanent coating to provide a non-slip surface, allowing users to slide comfortably to their next seated position. Transfer boards are available with one or two oval-shaped, cutout handgrips, or with no handgrips. The handgrips offer additional leverage to stabilize, maneuver or carry the boards, while the option without handgrips provides a smooth, solid surface.

Wooden transfer boards are sold in two sizes: 8" x 24" and 8" x 30", with a thickness ranging from 0.79" to 0.87". This variety allows users to choose the size and style that best suits their needs, supporting their independence and safe mobility.
